Interactive e-manual and detailed training curriculum focused on practical use of IT tools developed within IO 2 was the basis for conducting the training for organisers of distance education and on-line teachers/trainers. The e-manual uses graphic elements, films and interactive modules. The training curriculum consists of two modules: technical and organisational aspects of distance education and didactics of distance education. Emphasis was placed on the principles of ensuring quality and validation in distance education. The developed methodology
assumed participation in the courses at any time (the possibility of on-line access to all the materials and exercises) and online consultation with instructors (important in case of people caring for children, disabled and elderly people) which allows to overcome barriers in access to education by disadvantaged groups.
